program overview
The media4impact Incubator program is a 5-month media training and support program dedicated to elevating emerging content creators and media entrepreneurs in Cambodia to create influential content, engage a wide audience base, and establish sustainable content platforms that focus on community development and public interest. The program aims to empower content creators within the media industry to drive positive change and foster a sustainable media landscape in Cambodia.
The 2023 Incubator program ran from April to October 2023 supporting 6 content creation teams among 56 applications. The program celebrated the completion of the creators’ journeys with a content creator exhibition called Prosob Exhibition on 07 October, 2023.

Program Highlights!
Program activities consists of sharing sessions, workshops and site visits to creative studios connecting creativity and impact together.
Incubators’ Projects
Incubators participated in the program had 3 projects to develop into content and publish on their social media platforms during the program based on thematic of Self-development, Education & Career, Art & Culture, Health & Wellbeing, and social & environmental issues.
Boujee
Marie Lam and Tyl Kan are a duo of writer and illustrator who are passionate about exploring social and cultural topics through comic illustrations. During this program, they have worked on women empowerment topic to inspire women about body positivity and womanhood.

Vevid
Vevid’s Day off is a platform where Vevid shares his life journey on his days off hoping to inspire the next generation to pursue their dreams.
His “Day off Podcast” series, explore topics to help his followers boost their confidence and have positive outlook in life. Vevid also promotes Scholarship topics.

Piseth’s Whatever
Piseth Keo is a comic artist from Siemreap, Cambodia. His comic strips are comical and satirical as a way for people to entertain themselves.
In this program, Piseth explored creating a comic series called “Techie family” to educate about digital minimalism.

Linna
Linna Meng is a Cambodian content creator in High school with a passion to help youth focusing in their education journey. Linna makes motivational study videos, self-help videos, and shares about people’s success journey in education.

SEA Fokus
SEA Fokus is a team of three members creating content about climate change and climate resilience topics to raise awareness for youth in Cambodia. During the program, they developed content and turned them into guidebooks for youth to learn more about the topic.

Dassatek
Dassatek is a team of three members creating content about regenerative agriculture and aims to promote agriculture and farming towards youth, awakening their potential in working with nature. Agriculture is vital in providing food as well as maintaining environmental biology.

The program's strategic objective is to foster the creative skills and connecting them with a community of like-minded creators to spread impactful messages to more Cambodian youth. “When we see it, we understand it. And when we understand it, we care about it. And when we care about it, we’ll do something to help save it.”.

Creative Week took the creators to explore the creative industry of Cambodia. This week, Filmmaking. This session was hosted by Anti-Archive, a local film production company.

Danech San, Director and Filmmaker at Ant-Archive presented two of her films, Sunrise in my mind (ថ្ងៃរះក្នុងចិត្ត) and Sea within a Sea (ឧទ្យានសមុទ្រ) to media4impact incubators. We talked about the art of storytelling and creative ways to tell story that can make lasting impact to audience.
